Phase One Almost Complete, but We’re Not Done Yet!

Lakeland Animal Shelter is getting a long-overdue makeover and needs support from the community. Phase One of the new shelter is nearly completed and some animals will begin moving into the new building soon. In the meantime, Executive Director Kristen Perry is doing everything she can to educate the public about the shelter’s continuous needs, which include $1.6 million to finish Phase Two of construction. We Have a Roof!

In February 2016, employees and volunteers at Lakeland Animal Shelter will be able to occupy the Phase 1 Adoption Center area of the new facility, adjacent to the current shelter at 3551 WI-67 in Elkhorn. Lakeland Animal Shelter is an adoption-guarantee shelter that serves nearly 600 dogs and cats daily. Read more...
