Your Generosity is Powerful: 2018 Second Chances Dinner Recap

Your Generosity at the 2018 Second Chances Dinner was Powerful.

It never fails to amaze us. The thoughtful support network we have at Lakeland Animal Shelter is truly astounding. Never has this been more obvious than at the 2018 Second Chances Charity Dinner.

Second Chances Dinner

This annual fundraising event was held on Friday, May 11, 2018 at the Abbey Resort in Fontana, Wisconsin. Second Chances is a wonderful time for Lakeland staff members, volunteers, and partners to enjoy each other’s company and come together for the common goal of protecting and saving local animals.

As our largest and most beneficial evening of the year, there is plenty of elegant excitement offered to those who attend. Guests are treated to an upscale dinner party, featuring silent auction baskets, a wine bottle cork pull, and a thrilling live auction to complete the night!

But this year’s event was especially powerful, and it all comes down to the kindness of our amazing, open-hearted community.

“The evening was a huge success for Lakeland Animal Shelter this year,” Executive Director, Kristen Perry said. “The room was filled with generous and kind animal lovers who dug deep into their pocketbooks to raise over $100,000 toward the care of animals in need as well as the completion of our new facility. That’s simply incredible!”
