Home for the Holidays
Adopt-a-thon / Holiday Open House
Saturday, December 3rd 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Sunday, Dec 4th 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Want to make Christmas merry for a homeless pet? Ready to open your heart to a new four-legged friend? The shelter is full, with hundreds of dogs, cats, kittens, and even a few ferrets and rabbits who wish for nothing more than to go home for the holidays.
Come meet lots of wonderful animals, including kittens visiting from foster homes!
Special bonus: All adoption fees for dogs and cats under 2 years old are reduced by $25 from now through the 4th! In addition, to promote the hundreds of wonderful adult and senior cats who have been waiting weeks, months, or even years for a second chance, from now through December 4th, you decide how much you would like to donate if adopting a cat over 2 years old.
Not ready to adopt? You can still help!
Come join us for some homemade cookies and cocoa, meet our residents, and help to make the holidays and the coming year a little brighter by helping us to help them. Donating much-needed funding or supplies can make a big difference for the year to come. You can also bring special gifts of toys or treats for the animals!

*Note: in order to be eligible to take an animal home on the 3rd or 4th, adoption applications must be submitted no later than noon on Thursday, December 1st and must have an “approved “status. Only animals who have had all necessary medical procedures and assessment will be able to go home on the 3rd or 4th. In all other cases, arrangements for pickup will be made based on the needs of the individual animal. Applications received for a specific animal by the 4th qualify for the adoption fee discount, whether or not the animal is ready to go home. Christmas pickup hold still applies.
