| We seek permanent, responsible, and loving homes

prospective adopter must meet certain requirements. Our goal is to place
each animal in a good home. All of our policies are designed to protect
the animals and prevent suffering. For more details on our adoption
process as well as our online adoption application, please visit Spottie's

pitbull, female, 4 1/2 years I first came to the shelter in June of
2007, and have been waiting for a home for over 2 years! After a year and a half in the shelter, I
thought I had found my lifelong home. But less than 2 weeks after
I found a new person, his living arrangements changed, and I found
myself right back here. I love my friends here at the shelter, but
I would rather be in a home with room to play and lots of toys! I
can be very choosy about my canine friends, so advance meetings with any
canine companions are a must, or even better would be a home where I
could be an only dog!

I am a sweet but shy dog, but I am very energetic and love to play!
I can be a bit mouthy when I play and can be a bit too much for young
children.
