Other Ways to Give

Did you know that there are many various other ways that you can help homeless animals in this community in addition to adopting or volunteering? Check out some of these other ways to give:

Operation Rescue Donation Coin Jars:

These jars are available at the shelter and are the perfect way to collect your spare change and turn it in when it is full. You wouldn’t believe how the coins add up to big dollars for the animals. Put one on your counter at home, in your car for spare change at the drive thru or on your desk at work. Just stop in the shelter and pick one or a couple up when you get a chance, and start having your pennies add up for the animals.

Supply Donation Bins:

You might have seen these blue bins in local grocery stores. Many of the local Piggly Wiggly and Sentry’s have them by their check out counters in the front of the store. This is a perfect place to buy supply items for the animals while doing your grocery shopping and drop the items off in the shelter barrel before you leave the store. Supply items that the animals would appreciate include paper towels, dry and canned cat food, dish detergent, laundry detergent and bleach.

Kwik Trip Fuel Cards:

You can even help the animals when you fuel up your vehicle! The Shelter has Kwik Trip Fuel gift cards that are available for purchase at the shelter in amounts from $10 to $500. These cards are worth full value to the holder but are sold to the Shelter at a 10% discount. This means that if you purchase a $500 Kwik Trip card at the Shelter, you will get $500 worth of fuel and the shelter will get a $50 donation. That’s a win for everyone!
