Return to Adoptable Animals in Foster
April 4th --5 weeks
We walk into the room and are surprised to see all 6 kittens piled into one of the bigger pieces of cat furniture, sleeping The tunnel is at least a foot off the ground and it is not large enough for mom to have put them there, so the kittens all had to climb up and into the tunnel to sleep. In fact, mom does not sleep in the tunnel, but the kittens don't seem to mind, and mom seems to enjoy the break. She sprawls out on top of the kennel in the room and watches over things.

The kittens wake up and start to play--it is amazing to see how much their coordination has developed in the past week. They can run without falling over, and can climb easily. They still aren't very good at jumping but that ability too will develop over the next couple of weeks. They are playing with everything from mom's tail to our feet as we walk around the room. Mouse, the little grey female, seems especially fond of playing with people. We still hear a little bit of sneezing, but the respiratory has not developed into anything further.
